Altlife.Community Groups and Events policy
Understanding Our Policies
The following terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, Social Standards, and Terms of Service, apply to all creators and administrators of Groups and Events on Altlife.Community. You are responsible for ensuring that your Group, or Event complies with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.
Owners of Events and Groups are responsible for ensuring that they moderate their group and that content within their group continues to comply with out policies.
We reserve the right to remove, delete, edit any group or event that does not meet our Terms and Policies. This policy may be updated from time to time.
General Policies for Groups, and Events
General Terms
Groups, and Events are moderated by our dedicated Altlife.Community team worldwide. All Groups created are approved by moderators to ensure they comply with all our Terms and Policies and are not duplicated.
Prohibited Business Practices
Groups, and Events must not promote products, services, schemes or offers using deceptive or misleading business practices, including those intended to scam people out of money or personal information.
Impersonation
Groups, and Events must not impersonate or falsely represent a brand, entity, or public figure. Where a Group, or Event is being used to express support for or interest in a brand, entity, or public figure, it must make clear in the name or description that it is not an official representation.
Gambling
Groups, and Events must not promote online gambling, or gaming where anything of monetary value (including digital currencies) is required to play and anything of monetary value forms part of the prize, without our prior written permission. Common types of gambling or gaming activities which may require permission include betting, lotteries, raffles, casino, fantasy sports, bingo, poker, skill game tournaments and sweepstakes.
Inaccurately Tagged Content
Groups, and Events must not inaccurately tag content or encourage users to inaccurately tag content.
Incentivization
Groups, and Events must not incentivise people to misuse Altlife.Community features or functionality.
Drug and Alcohol Addiction or Medical Treatment
Groups, and Events must not promote drug and alcohol addiction or medical treatment centers that are misleading, engaging in practices that are harmful to patients, or otherwise violating applicable laws.
Buy Swap and Sell Groups
Groups that are created for buying, swapping or selling are permitted. Groups admin are responsible for maintaining the rules of the group, including removing members who do not follow group rules and must indemnify Altlife.Community from responsibility regarding any sales or swaps.
Drugs, animals, weapons, human trafficking and alcohol Buy Swap and sell groups are not permitted.
Site Admin will monitor all groups and will investigate any reports obtained about groups, or members and reserve the right to delete groups or remove members.
Please note that all sales/swaps are the responsibility of the users and not Altlife.Community. We recommend that users use their due diligence with any sale/swap, appropriate payment method such as PayPal in order to access dispute processes and not to give our credit card information.
Promotions on Groups, and Events
Communicating a Promotion
If you use Altlife.Community to communicate or administer a promotion (ex: a contest or sweepstakes), you are responsible for the lawful operation of that promotion, including: The official rules; Offer terms and eligibility requirements (ex: age and residency restrictions); and Compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing the promotion and all prizes offered (ex: registration and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals).
Required Content
Promotions on Altlife.Community must include the following: A complete release of Altlife.Community by each entrant or participant; and acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Altlife.Community.
Administration of a Promotion
Promotions may be administered on Groups, Events, or within Altlife.Community. Personal Timelines and friend connections must not be used to administer promotions (ex: “share on your Timeline to enter” or “share on your friend's Timeline to get additional entries”, and "tag your friends in this post to enter" are not permitted).
Assisting Promotions
Altlife.Community will not assist you in the administration of your promotion, and you agree that if you use our service to administer your promotion, you do so at your own risk. You also indemnify Altlife.Community Pty Ltd from any and all liability associated with any promotion.
Collection of Data on Groups, and Events
Collecting Data from Users
If you collect content and information directly from users, your Group, or Event must make it clear that you (and not Altlife.Community) are collecting it, and must provide notice about and obtain user consent for your use of the content and information that you collect. Regardless of how you obtain content and information from users, you are responsible for securing all necessary permissions to reuse their content and information.
Automated Collection of Data
Your Group, or Event must not collect users' content or information, or otherwise access Altlife.Community, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without written permission from Altlife.Community.
Events-Specific Policies
Automated Events
Events cannot use automated means to generate event invites.
Cost Disclosures
Events must provide clear and up-front disclosure for any actions or additional costs associated with an event ticket purchase. You must make it clear that you (and not Altlife.Community) are collecting money for the event. You also indemnify Alt Life Community from any and all liability associated with any event.
Misleading Event Changes
Changes to an event must not result in a misleading or unintended connection and must not substantially change the event.
Group-Specific Policies
Administration
If you create a Group it will go through an approval process before it is available publicly. Altlife.Community Moderators will have access to any and all groups to assist with site moderation and ensuring that users and Group Admins are complying with our Terms and Social Standards policies.
Public Groups must be inclusive
While public groups may be created for certain genres, local areas etc they must still be inclusive and not discriminatory (breaching the Social Standards).
Private Groups
Private Groups can be created, but are still subject to approval and site moderation and complying with our terms and policies.
Group Administrators Responsibilities
The individual who creates the group is automatically a group Administrator and can then appoint other group Administrators. Any and all Administrators for a group are responsible for ensuring members and users in the group comply with Privacy Policy, Social Standards and Terms of Service. If Altlife.Community Moderators become aware of breaches of the Terms or Policies, and Group Administrators have not effectively reported the users or the content, the group may be removed and deleted and the Administrators may have their accounts restricted from creating new groups.
