As you may have seen in our FAQs we are starting to work towards launching Live Streaming on the platform. We have been undertaking extensive testing and will be looking at launching this on the site before the end of March.
Live Streaming
Live streaming will be limited at this stage to educational webinars and discussions. It will be basic but educators will be able to screen share presentations, and users will be able to comment and view the recording after the live stream. Admin may also do social live streaming such as Movie Nights/TV nights etc.
Live streaming is an additional cost to us (on top of the normal running costs associated with our dedicated server and our on-call IT developer team) - so Live streaming at this stage will not be released to the general membership until we are larger and have enough income being generated through memberships/subscriptions to pay for this feature on an ongoing basis.

APP Development
We have been taking on feedback from our online survey about the App development and we have a good idea of what the initial app should include.
Over the past couple of weeks we have been mapping out the App and features to include in this and we will start the App development Mid April.

Some features wont be available on the app (E-learning courses, quizzes, recipes, Ask Away for example). That being said, from the feedback we have received, having different apps for different areas (Education App, Dating App etc) might be something users are interested in as well - which would allow users to join the site either for the community, education or for dating and can use a different app depending on their needs.

We will also be launching the app and updating our Altlife.Chat in our default site darkmode. At this stage we wont be offering themes on the app - these will remain on the website only.
